A Penguin Study

Wow, what a difference one hook size makes! You've inspired me to remake my first project next year and see the difference (I only started a couple of months ago!).

I think the difference is so obvious because I had the technique wrong. The redo was fun.

And you should be proud of him! Your first one is very cute - he is just a bit rougher than the re-made version. It is awesome to be able to see improvement, though!

My first one was a Best Bunny. She is very loose as well. Perhaps that should have been one of the ami-alongs: Remake your first ami.

I taught myself how to crochet and I was surprised and amused by using a smaller crochet hook how nicer things looked.
What a great job you did. Can't wait to see more of your work. :->

Oh, isn't it interesting to see the difference that hook size and technique make in a project?! I love them both! The momma isn't as refined as the baby, but she's adorable! And has a lot of personality! You should be proud of both! :-)
