Oh how unique and simply adorable!

You'll have to tell us what the birthday girl thinks when she receives her!

I want to give her a big squishy hug already. =)

Thanks, donster! :o) *fingers crossed*

Pippa's passed the test with my DH... he gave her a hug when she was finished, and then ran away up the hall with her! heh heh That's usually a good sign. He's always sad to see them leave us. ;o)

Yay for Hippo Friends! Don't you think she'd go so well with your adorable purple Hungry Hungry Hippo? :o) Thank you for the sweet comments!

Oh, you could totally knit if you really want to learn it, you're so good at crochet! But you don't really NEED to, your crocheted ami's are so wonderful!! (I can't crochet without a LOT of pain, so I'm stuck knitting everything... happily, I love to knit!)

She is fabulously, impossibly cute! I thought her back side was just adorable, and I was braced for a disappointing front (only because I thought it was going to be really tough to top the back), but you did it! She is amazing!!!!!! I want one!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you write up/post your patterns ever? Of course I could never recreate that face, but it would be fun to try to make her.

Oh well. :( If I tried to make one, I'd have to crochet her. I am good enough at knitting to follow a pattern (and modify one), but not good enough to make up peeps! I guess I'll have to make a few knitted critters from patterns so I can learn the basics and increase my versatility. I just finished knitting a purse that I am going to felt, and I was amazed to see again how easy it was on my hands compared to crochet (I haven't knitted in a few months, during which time I have been exclusively making amigurumi). If I learned how to freeform knit, my hands would definitely be happier!!

Yay! Hippopotamuses! I always love hippos. I know they're like one of the deadliest animals in Africa, but they're so gosh darn cute! and Pippa just proves that point so well!

Thanks so much kittens_delite! (love your icon btw)

Pippa is only deadly if you interrupt her ballet exercise time. ;o) Hippos do have awfully cute faces! I actually made hers looking at a photo of an actual hippo, and shaped her smile like the mouth in the photo!
