Mel Brooks stuff, Ghostbusters, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Orgasmo.

Those are the first must-see movies that came to mind.

Also:
Big Fish, anything with Kevin Spacey (He doesn't seem to do bad movies)

I haven't met many people who disliked In America. It's not a perfect film, but it seems to be a pretty universal "crowd pleaser." Cute kids, Samantha Morton ... what's not to love?
