Well...

That... Was odd.

I like how Moriarty is like a "good" father in the sense that he wants Sherlock to sleep on time, bans stories that have traumatic endings, and lashing Sherlock when he's been bad. (Though really. I agree with Sherlock. Definitely would hate to drink something drugged when you know it)

Hn. Wonder how John fits into this...

Well basically Jim Moriarty is an evil genius who managed to *suspend your disbelief* transplant sherlock's mind from his adult body to a clone of himself quite a bit younger. It's all part of his TRF plot.

He now has the chance to mould Sherlock into the person he wants him to be. John/Mrs Hudson/Everyone else believes Sherlock to be truly dead.

Thank you, I know it's really quite a weird premise but stick with it.

"Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars...

Jim doesn’t understand this ritual but it comforts his boy so he indulges."

I wasn't initially drawn by this but -those lines- made me go 'hrmm.' and now I will follow whatever kinda twisted this turns out to be.

Well - actually it's not an intended twist. Sherlock remembers everything about his former life. Jim moriarty has transplanted Sherlock's mind into a younger clone of Sherlock that he made (yes it's a really weird premise).

Thus everyone thinks Sherlock is dead but Jim gets to remake the great detective in his image.

I know this isn't a request fic, but if Sherlock does remember then an excellant way would be to make the reason he's an insomniac is the nightmares he doesn't understand about serial killers and bombs etc. Can't help thinking the solar system is some subconcious ref to John "But it's the solar system!" Watson too.

Consider my belief suspended this is intriguing :-)
