from the fourth edition CWNA study guide:

The sun is often used as an analogy of an isotropic radiator...certain theories in physics-such as the hairy ball theorem-would even exclude the Sun...

I've taken several physics classes, but never once was hairy ball theorem mentioned. Disappointing.
