Did they prevent my eyeballs from popping out?

this made me laugh out loud.

Good for you!

(oh, but I think I'd stay away from the guy who found it a turn on.) :P

I still wonder to this day why I had to wear goggles. They never explained to me why!

Hehe, he's a nice guy. A bit of a flirt. But I haven't seen him in a really long time, now that he works another shift.

And here I thought having an EMG (electro-myography test) was the height of torture...
I could never volunteer for what you did.

Eeeeeee! My fingers hurt! I am still reacting to your adept descriptions!

Re: edit
Thought my comment didn't take so wrote again then deleted the first one when they both showed up. What's up with LJ??

LJ is pretty annoying! I had voted once but had to take a break from entries. When I went to vote again, it had deleted all the votes I had had before. Good thing I had the spreadsheet open so I didn't forget who I voted for! Then there was one of those Varnish Errors right in the middle of my reading the entries. Argh!

Yeah, the pain was pretty intense. I'm rather sensory defensive so it was out-of-character for me to do something that I knew would hurt me. I don't have tattoos, minimal piercings (ears and had an eyebrow ring in college), and don't even wear contacts or bother with having children because I avoid pain so much!

An EMG sounds scary! The closest procedure to being tased would be functional electrical stimulation (FES) where they stick the little pads on one's back at the chiropractor. It felt like that with the waves and everything, only waaaay stronger.

I have had e-stim at Physical Therapy but they only turn the voltage to what the patient wants. They cover the electrodes with icy cold towels and it only feels like a bubbling, buzzing sensation on my back, or neck or wherever I get it. Not painful at all. I just can't imagine volunteering to be tasered. Watching a crime show on TV is the closest I would get!
I have had trouble posting some comments and gotten that silly goat a couple times too. Your entry is popular. That's a sign that you had the best definition for crazy, I think!
If you are not opposed, I would like to friend you. :)

I love this! It's so well told and IL it because I would so do the same XD.

Have you ever been so curious about something that you just had to experience it yourself or die with regret not knowing? ALL THE TIME XD. I live to satisfy my curiosity, srsly.

I asked my co-workers that later. They answered, "Not really." I get that reaction from people a lot :/
