It wasn't a deep sleep, though, and she jerked awake when she heard the knock. It took a minute for her to remember what was happening, and then to realize that she definitely should have changed. She had on light pink shorts, and a grey tank top.
Moving towards the door, she ran her fingers quickly through her hair, trying to make sure she looked alright, since there wasn't a mirror nearby. Plastering a little smile onto her face, she undid the chain and flicked the lock before pulling the door open for him. "You made it."

Derek offered her a grin, the best one he could offer at the moment. It wasn't a bad grin, it just didn't reach all the way into tired eyes.
"Elle? I'm Derek." He offered a hand out to her in greeting. "Good to finally meet you."

Considering how tired he was, and after everything he'd told her about what had been going on lately, it was actually a really nice grin, she thought. And a little bit reassuring in a way, since she wasn't entirely sure what she was getting herself into.
"It's nice to officially meet you, too." She slipped one small hand into his, giving it a little squeeze before stepping back to give him room. "You can come on in. Make yourself at home."

Part of him wanted to get back to sleep and then a part of him wanted to get up and shower quickly so that Elle could have her way and take them out to do something fun. He kissed the crown of her head. "Mind if I use your shower?" He whispered.

"Go ahead." She whispered, even as she tightened her hold on him. "Just down the hall."
