I'm no expert but... I say he'll probably need surgery but it looks like a really neat break so hopefully no pins?

Considering that there are two large pieces broken on the right side there, I think pins are inevitable.

OMG! I'm glad he's getting a second opinion but I wish it has been sooner. Hopefully he will take the meds, Himself sometimes tries to tough it out and I have to 'encourage' him to take his.

Yeah, I'm kinda amazed that the medical profession has been so blase about this whole thing, too. But we'll know what's up in just a few hours. Being an biological anthropologist tells me that he's a shoo-in for surgery, though. That bone won't knit back together by itself.

I'm thinking that we're going to be there, but we're waiting to see how Coelred's situation goes.
