The flowers are really pretty, but I'm having trouble with the idea of people *planting* blackberries. I mean, on *purpose.* Here they are a rampant prickly pest that beats up your other plants and steals their lunch money. Tasty, though.

That's what my daughter-in-law was telling me. In Kentucky, it was the raspberries that came from the wrong side of the tracks.

Still, I'd like to have a blackberry bush problem. It would beat the dandelion problem everyone's having this year!
