Why is is Still Cold? And is that SNOW? AND a Dentist?

Notice I am posting Angry, Snarly Griffin face today because I am really p.o.'d that it's still cold and snowy.  Got to love those pinpoint weather forecasts we get, don't you?  I'm not getting any sun, I'm not getting any fun--it's a gray day.  Bummer.  Guess I'll work on one or two of the 18,000 partially completed projects I've got laying all ( Read more... )

The penguins and I are so sorry that you had to endure a visit to the dentist, but you have a wonderful way with telling a story. Are you a member of the Bardic College? :)

(I have dentist issues myself; like you, my parents both have teeth issues, and the meds I'm on have lovely dental side effects as well. Stupid teeth. I fire them.)

My former husband and I had the honor of signing the Royal Charter of the Bardic College when we first sat the Falcon Thrones, but no, I've never really considered myself a bard. I just like to write!

You can fire teeth? Awesome!

LOL...thanks for the giggle! That was lovely!

My teeth are much like Gryff's--strong, white (except for the coffee stains) and directionally challenged. I've had very little dental work needed except for the years of metal-mouth in junior high. (And they are STILL quite crooked, but so much better than when they started! I could probably get adult orthodontia with better results, with today's techniques, but I sort of figure, what's the point?)

I'm glad you've got strong teeth--getting them straightened at this point would probably be just a "feel good" gesture. But, if you've got the insurance......

I would rather go to the OB/GYN for a full exam, including rectal, than go to the dentist. I would rather go through childbirth than I have a root canal. (I have had 4 root canals and 2 children)

The only way I will go to the dentist now is with that conscious sedation stuff. So, my sympathies and empathies.

Had a similar experience this summer involving oral surgery and a crown. Nitrous is the way to go!
