[When Ken comes back from his visit with Zevran, Miakis will have already returned from Thorfinn's, and she's feeling pretty crappy. She's sitting in the kitchen with a cup of coffee, and seems to be deep in thought.

I know you didn't. [His voice is soft and drained. He wants to reach out and just hold her, to try and make everything better but he doesn't. His hands feel like they're stuck to his sides.]

I dunno. [She leans on the table, resting her head in her arms and sighing miserably. Normally, she'd go over and give him a hug, and she wants to, but it feels like she can't, like she doesn't deserve it.] I wish I knew.

I still can't believe you and Thorfinn hooked up. [He's trying to retreat into being stunned rather then hurt.]

I trust you Miakis...I know you wouldn't have hooked up with me had you remembered you were in a relationship previously. I know that.

It still hurts, but that does make me feel a bit better.

No you can't. It's one of those stupid times when you have to hurt someone to just end the situation. [He sits down at the table and curls his fingers into his palms loosely.]

How the hell should I know! I've never been in that position! [Usually he's not with someone long enough for conflicts like this to come up.]
