How is it that he looks good in the photos they took of him, but on the red carpet he looks 50 years old and tired? It makes me want to cry.

I know! It's crazy how different he looks. He looks adorable in the twitpics, all glowy and happy, and then, no. Maybe all the flashes on the red carpet made everything look really harsh? But it's not a good look, for sure. And that hair is not helping matters at all. It's a hair helmet!

They stifled all of that beautiful, fresh, young natural beauty with a pound of makeup and 3 cans of hairspray. The boy is so beautiful with his natural features and I hate when they put all of that bloody crap on him. That much orangey makeup makes everyone look older.

I know right? I was so excited by the photos sent on twitter, and then underwhelmed by the same look at the premiere. Maybe it's the lighting. I don't want to say it's the clothes (as tempting as it is to simply say 'well naturally Johnny looks much hotter without clothes), because I quite like the clothes, especially the pretty green and the scarf-like collar.

Blinded by his curves.

And, yeah, I'm not fond of his overdoing the makeup and hair thing. He is plenty beautiful as he is. No need for a mask of makeup.

He really looks completely naked in that one picture.

He doesn't need that much foundation at all. I don't mind eye makeup or lipstick, but he has *gorgeous* skin. All he needs is concealer or maybe tinted moisturizer, not whatever they used here!

Hate the hair so much.. and the make up looks kinda dark and weird to me, maybe it's the picture though..

They definitely used too much foundation. He has gorgeous skin! There's no need to cover it up so much! At least not for the red carpet. Intense makeup can work for performances (love the Bad Romance makeup) or photoshoots (can't wait to see the MAC photos) but not for real life.

The third 'before' picture (with the paintbrush and hairspray) cracked me up.
