[OOC] Extended Character Sheet: Yishaq and a rant.

((Author's Note: I always wanted to RP my troll lock more, especially since with patch 4.1 Rise of the Zandalari is out. Plenty of opportunities for troll characters! With the recent development of Vol'jin asking blood elves and high elves for helm to cull Zul'Amani, I was expecting a lot of chances to forge blood elf-troll RP. But what disappoints ( Read more... )

It would be nice if players realized Darkspear != Amani.

Blood Elves, I could see being more leery/distrustful of Darkspear just based on the virtue of them being Trolls and taking the Elf-Troll history into account, but even my rabidly Amani hating Belf knows how to tell the difference between an Amani and..well, a not-Amani Troll.

Now, someone RPing as an Amani or an "ex-Amani"(Hey, they exist around Moon Guard)? That's getting full on hate.

From the side of Troll RPers who hate Blood Elves, that's pretty much an OOC thing in most cases. They feel somehow superior because they're not playing an Elf for one reason or another.

I agree. I can't help to feel most Belf-hating troll RPers are players who think they are oh-so-cool just because they played a troll and not a belf.

I could definitely see a belf being distrustful of Darkspears for sure but not to point of going: "GTFO SILVERMOON CITY."

I had that problem while I was walking around as Yishaq and some blood knight RPers stopped him and told Yishaq to GTFO SMC.

Yishaq's like: "Why? I am here to stop by on my route to Zul'Aman because my leader -and- your Farstrider leader need help on culling the Amani threat."

They gave me a flimsy reason that trolls should never come to SMC and it's not their place. I was baffled but I ignored them and just moved on. It's not in lore for blood knights to 'police' SMC anyway.

I can see a few lingering holdouts holding views THAT reactionary against all Trolls, but they'd be sort of along the lines of how most people view white supremacist sorts of groups in the real world.

That aside, my Belf's reaction to Trolls who give him shit when he's hanging out in Orgrimmar runs along the lines of, "Who gave you permission to leave the slums?" or, "Quick! Tell me which one of our people has a delegation in Grommash Hold right now."

That usually quiets them.

Hahaha, I see your point. Yeah, usually I use the 'I see no sign that says '(race here) KEEP OUT' reason.

I was expecting with the recent developments of Vol'jin stationing in Ghostlands with Halduron to strength troll-elf bonds and make troll-belf RP strive more with potential and IC opportunities for the two races to work together.

Granted, it won't happen overnight but it feels like this issue has been on-going like freaking 4 years since BC.

The blood elves have really contributed a lot to the Horde from Shattered Sun Offensive, Argent Crusade, Reliquary to helping Vol'jin with the Zul'Amani threat. Yet Troll RPers still play as if belves are the most disgusting race ever. This belf-hate is really getting old.

Why not direct the hate to where it suppose to? Like say, Twilight Cultists and the Alliance? Belf-hate is pretty derp by now.
