I've never heard of this author, but she sounds like an absolute joy to experience. What kind of stories does she write?

Mainly fantasy!
I would definitely recommend the Legend Song series and Obernewtyn Chronicles series if you are into fantasy.

She also has written a short series for children about a small elf in the city -the first run editions had amazing soft felt covers. And very cute. (Little Fur)

She's definitely one of Australia's most loved fantasy authors worldwide, she started writing her first series when she was a teenager.

Recently she edited (and wrote one story) of a remake of a collection of fairytales 'A Wilful Eye' and another book which I cannot recall right now...

Much awesome. Glad you enjoyed yourself :)

I read she'll be in Brisbane at some CYA conference or something? But it is way too expensive. So.

Obernewtyn Chronicles is good. At least, book 1 is. :P Need to get onto the second soon..

Very fun. :)

Yeah. The launch was free thankfully. Though I did splurge on her book.

Haha, you're reading at her writing pace for the last installments. ;)
