Aren't paid accounts both fun and trying. Just when I get excited by getting 2 months paid time (thank you LJ!) I poke around and see I was de-friended in August (whilst that may seem a while back everything since August to now has been a bit of a blur to me, in fact, I'm pretty sure I still have some comments I need to reply to lying around from

Every now and then I will go through my list and if someone hasn't posted in over a year, or I don't talk with them via IM, twitter or FB, I'll usually trim the list, but I always make a post or send an individual pm.
It does really aggravate me when folks don't leave some kind of personal notification. More than it should lol. I just hit the 'remove friend' button and move on after growling a little :P

Funnily enough (which I was going to add but forgot) this person usually does to a public friends cut post, but there's been nothing since January (when I wasn't one removed then). So it makes me wonder if I was just a single person removed. Haha.
I try or like to see a nice small or lj-active friends list, but I find it hard most of the time to do so. Just hoping they'll come back. XD

I have (for what its worth, you probably haven't heard of many of them): Richelle Mead, Jackson Pearce, Maggie Stiefvater, Tamora Pierce and one or two 'trying to break out' authors on my list. Funnily enough over half of them added me back when I first added them!
I had a Bones moment or two today //random

How'd ya manage that!
Ah, I see you've been one of the 'early settlers' '03 kid. That's how. (Maybe?)
I'd have that notification too, but I normally don't have a paid account. I got gifted 2 months for my first experience of one at Christmas last year by a flister, and today was the second time I got some paid account time (I think there was a comepetition on Facebook and I was a runner up).
So normally it can be a little hard for me to track without the option of notifications for those things, which is only in a paid account. :)

If you got an account in the early days, like the first year after the site opened, your account has another title. Something like "early adopter" or something equally weird.
I had no idea there is no way to get those notifications without having a paid account. That must suck. :/

Yeah, I remember that now. Thanks.
Yes, you can get lj user adding you notifications but not removing you in plus accounts.
