Good point! I did forget to mention that. Thanks for reminding me. The Figwit phenomenon is so bizarre and hilarious.

"Bizarre and hilarious" is a good phrase to have around when FotC or Figwit are being discussed.

There is a really good fanfic story which tells of what happens when Figwit speaks up before Legolas and joined the Fellowship. Sadly it doesn't work out quite so well...but I can give you the link if you want.

Oh, and he stars in at least one story ('The Strange Sea Road' and, I think, also 'The Usual Suspects') written by my friend ningloreth at her site Eryn Carantaur.

Hmm... I'm not sure if I have time to read it- I've finally buckled down and started reading Ender's Game, which I wasn't interested as a kid and missed being assigned in high school (the normal classes got to read it, but not the AP classes I was in- it was "below our grade level," I think), and I'm still in the middle of So You Want to Be A Wizard- and, on top of all of that, I'm trying to reread all the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy "trilogy."

But I spend too much time online so I bet I could read it.
