ya see i'm supposed to be finishing dn's for that book right now, but i'm messing around on the internet. i like 1984 better. the character's are so annoying in bnw.

but the characters make the book interesting, theyre all references to certain historical figures and different forms of society! if you dont know what im talking about ms burden will clear it up for you. but the books interesting, i thought.

i liked brave new world. it was cool. it wasn't as exciting as 1984. Lenina got on my nerves the most. She learns and regurgitates. She's the model drone. but that's they only thing they know. so what can you say.

but you have to make the connections. i mean, the book was written in 1942 if i remember right, and think about it... really? how far away from that kind of reality are we? i think it's actually a frighteningly close resemblance to the way our society is today. were all a bunch of robots repeating what our media tells us (yes, even those rebellious ones have media roots).

all of you guys should pay close attention to Hamlet, Beowulf, and even though you probably might only have to read excerpts from Canturbury Tales, you should read the full book. but especially Hamlet. that story was much more interesting and kickass than i first thought.
