Room 529, Friday Evening

News from home continued to be grim, but that was par for the course these days and so far nothing particularly troubling had come up, although there had been several not so subtle inquiries as to whether she was making much progress in her flight class. (If Tahiri had been insane enough to let on who was teaching said class, she suspected those ( Read more... )

Firekeeper wasn't sure what had drawn her upstairs to Tahiri's room. Boredom, perhaps. Or frustration regarding the island's complete lack of real game. Possibly a combination of both, since her usual cure for boredom was a hunt, and today's class had been a good reminder of the fact that hunting rabbits simply got tedious after a while. At any rate, she and Blind Seer were up on the fifth floor, knocking on Tahiri's door.

Well, Firekeeper was knocking. Blind Seer was standing by her side, lacking the ability to make fists for proper knocking as he was.

Tahiri recognized the presences at her door, which was why she was smiling when she got up and went over to open it. (Sure, she could have done that with the Force, but she knew magic made Firekeeper uneasy and even if this wasn't the same, she was nice like that sometimes.)

"I was hoping you'd come by," she said, reaching out a hand to scratch Blind Seer around the ears. "Come on in."

That courtesy was one of the many things Firekeeper liked about her friend, for as much as she knew in her mind that the Force wasn't magic, it was hard to convince her instincts of such.

Blind Seer's ear twitched as he tilted his head to lean in to the scratch. Firekeeper had to roll her eyes a bit; her packmate was getting terribly spoiled, really.

"You come visit us much, so now, is our turn for visiting you," Firekeeper said.

"Well, that's fair, I guess." Tahiri stepped back from the door, because oh yeah, that would help if she was inviting them in. "You looked like you had fun in class today."

And then, because she was nothing if not impulsive, she blurted out, "Listen, I was thinking, are you free tomorrow? We could go somewhere. Explore for a little while or something."

Hurley came in, yawning a bit.

"I am way too tired," he said.

Tahiri looked up from her datapad. "Long week?"
