Room 511 - Late Afternoon

Aug 29, 2010 09:07

Kyle was unaware that anything was amiss in his room when he entered and closed the door behind him. The warning system was fine. The room was empty. He frowned. The room was empty, but the window was closed. He'd left Marcus in here, still a raccoon. "Marcus?"

[OOC: Open for anyone after Marcus, but the door's closed!]

place: 511, person: marcus

Kyle may have left Marcus in his room as a raccoon, expecting him to remain a raccoon while he was gone, but Fandom had a way of playing havoc with expectations.

One minute Marcus had been carefully washing his lunch in the sink (an annoying habit his ring-tailed self couldn't seem to shake); the next, he'd been sprawled on the bathroom floor. He no longer had a tail, nor fur, nor whiskers, all of which was good news. But he was as he'd been when he'd possessed those things, namely naked, and that was all kinds of not good.

Which would be why he was leaning his weight against the other side of a firmly closed bathroom door, wondering why, exactly, there wasn't a single towel to be had. "Get me some damn clothes."

His eyebrows shot up. "You're you again?" Asking if he was human again wasn't exactly appropriate, not that Marcus knew that.

"Yeah." The question made his head ache. Eyes closed, he rubbed the back of his neck. "Clothes?"

"Yeah, okay. Working on it." He rummaged through his closet and grabbed some of the clothes that he'd swiped from the clothes line at Efferton Manor that turned out to be Professor Castle's. "You'll have to open the door to get them. I don't have shoes that will fit."

George - and his things - were knocking on Kyle's door.

Well, George was knocking. His bag was just kind of sitting there like the freeloader it was.

Kyle waited a second before throwing himself to his feet and going over to the door. Marcus had been gone long enough that Kyle assumed he wasn't coming back, so he unlocked and opened the door. "What are you doing?" he asked when he saw George. He rested the door fully open. "I said I'd come help you move stuff."

"Wouldn't want to be left out of the whole moving thing," Kyle said. He was perhaps a touch excited to get George as his roommate. "We're now 100% raccoon free, by the way."
