"Facebook" is not a verb

"Facebook" is not a verb and neither is "text". But it aggrivates me when I use them both in conversation. I just left a phone message for a friend that when we make plans I'll "facebook" a third friend to confirm ( Read more... )

Heh, yeah. I'm reading a book on the history of the English language in America, and one of the things that surprised me was how far back the tendency to turn nouns into verbs goes.
