Well, let's see, there were the Wonder Woman and Batgirl underoos outfits - those underoos were quite cool as long as we had leotards to wear with them, LOL.
But I enjoyed "creating" my '80s psychedelic punk rock outfit, complete with breakdancing pants, fluorescent orange "WHAM!" sweatshirt, and spiked belt - not to mention the purple spiked hair!
Thanks, but I have to say the two of you rock when it comes to costumes! Of course you know that us theater people can easily be spotted with creative costumes... :-)
LOL. Mine, was probably the cowboy outfit I wore for preschool and kindergarten. I don't think I was ever so excited about dressing up for halloween as I was that day.
Although, admittedly, I'm rather fond of 1941 costume I put together when I was a sophomore in college. Mostly because by then, I think I had given up on dressing up, but then I was struck by an inspiration.
I borrowed an solid, almost olive green jacket from a friend, and went as Dan Akryod in 1941, in the scene where he's at the back of the tank after he gets hit on the head, pulls pantyhose over his head with two oranges trapped underneath for his eyes and goes "look at me, I'm a fly..."
I still think my fave is Xena. That costume was an absolute BITCH to make and I thought it looked damn good. I got a lot of compliments when wearing it, especially the year r_is_for_rose went with me dressed as Gabrielle. Of course, when we took 2nd place as best couple in a contest, it felt a tad icky.

I don't know 1941, but that costume sounds funny.
