RP: With Villiers and Miniver Cheevy

Though a complete hassle sometimes, dog walking is sadly essential, and has drawn out two patrons and an excitable puppy. It's not too cold out, but there is a chill in the air, so Le Chiffre has a mid-length coat on over his suit and hands stuffed into his pockets ( Read more... )

Villiers gives an amused sigh, shaking his head. He, too, is in a coat over his own suit, but his overcoat's slightly heavier than Le Chiffre's -- nothing wrong with keeping warm.

"That's called having a backyard," he answers with a smile. But, unlike Le Chiffre, he does actually enjoy walking in the great outdoors. If needed, he'll probably take up dog-walking responsibility eventually.

Miniver actually hates being outside for most of the year, but in winter, even though it's cold, ALL THE PLANTS ARE DEAD. Miniver considers this to be a triumphant thing indeed. It means he doesn't have to personally set them on fire.

...so he's out too, not with his own puppy today, but with a pretty little falcony-looking bird. He's in the woods when Chiffre and Villiers turn up, holding a bit of jerky on the end of a rope and training the bird NOT to take it until he gives a hand signal.

Too bad that he's holding jerky, really, because the second Friedrich catches the scent, Miniver's got a large puppy charging towards him.

Le Chiffre's almost about to shout at the great dane, until he realises who's going to be on the receiving end of the hyper puppy and instead just leaves him to it.

"Don't make eye contact with that guy and you should be okay," he warns Villiers solemnly.

Huh, a bird. Not exactly the kind of animal led around in London, at least.

"A friend of yours, I assume?" he says quietly, offhand, before waving at the newcomer and heading in his general direction to retrieve Friedrich once the puppy's done greeting Miniver.

I mean, it's not like he ever listens to Le Chiffre, unless he's feeling indulgent. Which, admittedly, he does quite a lot of the time.

The thing is, while HAVING a dog himself has cured Miniver's universal phobia of the creatures, having a very large and wildly excited black dog rush him is not something he deals with well. Which means that in about .02 seconds after hearing, then spotting the puppy, Miniver is up a tree with his bird in his hair.

"Fucking Christ, Friedrick!" he yells down, realizing only later who the dog is. "Chiffre, don't you have a LEASH??"
