To Be a Crappy Catholic: Ash Wednesday and Lent

I have to say, it's a good thing that I stopped calling myself Catholic a long time ago, because I make a shitty one. I forgot that today was Ash Wednesday, just like I did last year. instead of giving up something I think it would be far more meaningful to try to do something during Lent that will help you to feel better about yourself and your spirit..... its usually those quiet little things you always say you're going to do next time but have yet to get around to......

I don't know who this is, but that sounds like a nice idea. I'm not sure what to do, but I'll think about it.

Thanks

For Lent. I gave up smoking.
(I smoked a hookah last night.)
I gave up orgasms.
(I had sex last night...)
And I gave up meat, seafood, poultry, and eggs.
I have at least stuck to that.
