I've managed to spill dark brown nail polish on my cream trousers...*headdesk* Does anyone know a good method of removing it? I've thought about nail varnish remover, but don't know if that'll damage material...

They always say that red wine is great for getting stains out ... but on cream trousers, that might make it worse.

Acetone, or nail polish remover (which used to contain acetone, but often doesn't now.) If it's gonna damage the material, does it matter, since they might be ruined anyway? How much worse can it be?
