The first time is always the hardest, but necessity outweighs all. Hamfast manages it with flying colors, as do the rest. I always saw the Gaffer as the big cuddly teddy bear, rather than the rough and gruff Gaffer that we see in the LOTR and so many other fan fics. Writing these from his point of view really allowed me to show off that side of him.
