I'm really enjoying this series of stories. :)

“You know, just about this exact time, thirteen years ago, Mistress Poppy and I were welcoming you into the world.”

Every year, my mother still tells me about the day I was born. It's a lovely tradition we have.

Eglantine certainly won't ever grow bored. But she controls her hord well... including Paladin :)

This is the first of these I've read but I can see it's a lovely little series. I really enjoyed this look into Eglantine's routine and I loved the way she impressed upon Paladin not to feed too much fresh fruit to a baby! Very sweet.

I can just see Eglantine telling the story of "Pippin and Too Many Plums" to a sweetheart and embarrasing the heck out of her tweenaged lad, or maybe he's appreciate it more when he's got a handful of Faramir's dirty diapers to deal with. These are the days that make you laugh, eventually, though they might make you cry first.

Lovely!
