I got this on my work desktop last summer. I got help by using another computer to go online and download a fix from Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware site (awful name for a help site, but that's neither here nor there...). Once I had the fix on a memory stick, I booted up in Safe Mode and followed the instructions. It took about an hour to clear out the virus.
This isn't the same virus, but the similarities are close enough: infinite "virus warning" pop-ups, only access to browser takes you to a pay-to-fix website, etc. It's a pain in the ass but it is totally fixable. I hope that you clear it up soon.
And, yeah, ENUFF WITH THE USELESS JAVA UPDATES ALREADY! Fucking PC products and there endless updates... *grumble*
Ugh, I'm so sorry. I had that one on my laptop...and we had it at work, too. There's nothing like a sick computer to give you a huge dose of aggravation and worry and late nights.
