Metropolis Harvest

Sep 20, 2007 14:12

Clark remembered the years in Smallville helping his father with the autumn harvest. In the inexorable turn of the seasons the verdant colors of summer gave way to the red, orange and gold pallet of fall, then to the ordinary browns and white of winter, returning to spring's showy display.

He'd thought harvest time would be different in Metropolis. Here were the colors of concrete and steel instead of those of corn and apples. As Superman saved his city from yet another threat, he noted that the gathering was still marked by brilliant red that faded to dull, rusty brown.
