I have updated so many times today but I am in such a wedding planning mood.

Question: Has anyone in here or is anyone going to Disney World for their honeymoon. Thats what we are planning to do and I would love some tips or ideas or good hotels, etc. Thanks! :)

honeymoon: disney

I stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge - it was *awesome*. It's like being on safari in Africa - we could sit on our balcony and watch the giraffes and other animals just stroll by our room. It was amazing.

Disney does a great job, you will have fun no matter where you stay. It mostly just depends on how much you can afford and what amenities you want. I think our rooms were around $200 per night.

Oh, forgot to mention that I've also stayed at the Swam and the Dolphin, but those are more convention-type hotels. They still have nice pools and are Disneyfied, but they are a lot less resort-y.

I can second the Animal Kingdom Lodge (not to be confused with the Wilderness Lodge). It is truly spectacular, as is the dining experience there.

I live 40 minutes from Disney World, and have my whole life. Been there what seems like a million times. ;) If you want info on hotels and all that. Just drop me an IM sometime and I'd be more than happy to help.

We got to Disney every year, we're also getting married down there. I would go see what information on honeymoons you can find on www.disneyweddings.com; I know they have some info on it, but I haven't really looked.

Also, belong to the Disney Vacation Club and we always stay at the Boardwalk. The Inn side is pretty pricey, but it's a quick walk to both EPCOT and MGM.

I would say GET THE EARS, they're embarrassing, but, you can end up getting some free stuff, when you go to restaurants and stuff and tell them you are on your honeymoon.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

Wait! I must add, if you want to see MANY pictures of each of the hotels down there, check out www.allearsnet.com. She has so much information and as well as menus for each restaurant.
