189 days? What kind of cockamamie random number for a progress post is that? The kind of random number one gets when the bride gets insanely busy and completely overshoots the 200 day mark. Between work, life, and wedding stuff, I'm feeling progressively more like a hamster on a wheel. *_* But we're almost 6 months from the big day, and things are getting done!
Refresher: Liz and James, planning a big fat geek wedding for 10/6/12.
Original intro post here, and
300 day progress post here.
Since last time...
My wedding outfit is done, with the exception of undergarments! (Which become a non-issue if I decide to have cups sewn into my dress.)

Dress and veil, as seen last time. I didn't get the veil when I bought the dress because I felt it was too expensive, but ended up finding the exact same one being sold by another bride on The Knot forums for $100 less than retail! Talk about serendipity!
And accessories:

Wedding rings, purchased earlier this week! Mine is engraved white gold, FI's is tungsten.

Bridesmaids dresses - one down, five to go! My MOH has picked hers so far. All the girls will be wearing different dresses in the same color and length.
Tuxes are
these from Men's Wearhouse. The groomsmen will be in plum vests and ties to match the ladies, and FI's vest and tie are canary yellow.
That's it for picspam, but here's what else we've gotten accomplished:
- Flowers: I'm using Price Chopper, of all places, for bouquets, boutineers and corsages! Their prices are fantastic, plus I can use my rewards card, LOL. I wish I had thought to take pictures when I consulted with the florist, but I did not. :( We'll be using plum carnations and purple stock, two shades of yellow roses, ivory spray roses, sunflowers and greenery. My stepmother is doing the floral arrangements for the ceremony, and centerpieces for the reception.
- Rehearsal dinner: Will be at
Wolf's 1-11, since it's become so important to my relationship with FI. Not only did we go there on our second date, it's also where we went to celebrate after he proposed, and where my family met his for the first time!
- Honeymoon: We're taking a Norwegian cruise to Florida and the Bahamas! It leaves out of NYC so we're saving a ton by not having to pay airfare, and plan on channeling the extra cash into some awesome excursions, like a trip to the Kennedy Space Center and either a dolphin swim or a sea lion experience. Swimming with dolphins sounds awesome, but I'm really not sure I can pass up the opportunity to hug a sea lion, LOL.
- Registry: Going to Bed Bath and Beyond probably this weekend to get set up!
And...I think that's everything? There's been so much going on lately that I've kind of lost track, LOL.
