Buying Engagement Rings Online

I wondered if any of you (or your fiances) bought your engagement rings online? Did anyone have a good experience with a particular site? Or a horrible experience? I just want to make sure that the source is trustworthy and the ring is well-made. It seems like you get a lot more bang for your buck online. Thanks!

We bought mine on Etsy from Erin Jane Designs and we were super happy with her and the ring. We even decided to get her to make a custom wedding band for me, and we're very happy with that too!

Good point, but aren't all diamonds from reputable dealers certified by the same agency? Or agencies? And wouldn't the black inclusions influence the Clarity rating?

Right, but that's why I said "from reputable dealers." I'm going to try to avoid the ones that would punk me, haha. I don't think we're going to be able to afford a diamond without inclusions :/

I bought an engagement ring from 25karats.com. I was not sure about my girlfriends finger size but the guys for the customer service were more than helpful.
They helped me to select the perfect setting with the diamond, at a very reasonable price.
We are engaged now :) and started planning our wedding already! 25karats.com will be the first address to check for our wedding bands.

I would be weary only because the above poster has no entries, no friends, no icon, their name has to do with rings, and the only community they are a member of is this one. No offense to the person who posted it's quite possible they are just new but it seems odd that they would post on a community before anywhere else.

We got mine at http://www.jewelsforme.com/home.asp. Cheap prices but not cheap quality, I love my ring. These are also not the typical diamond engagement rings if you're looking for something with a bit of color, go here.
