This might be a long shot, but does anyone happen to have the book that the Catholic Church gives engaged couples to use in planning their wedding Mass? I would like to know what the psalm options are
( Read more... )
I have the book but it's at home and I'm out of town until the weekend. But you might try www.catholicweddinghelp.com - they have a lot of useful information including the Rite of Marriage. I used their text to plan everything and eventually to write our wedding program.
I found this list thanks to pearlbeachlady and a member of catholicism, but if you have the book and can confirm for me that the pslams listed on the website are the same as the ones in the book, that'd be really helpful.
The ones on that link are:
The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord (Psalm 33:12, 18, 20-21, 22)
I will bless the Lord at all times (Psalm 34:2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9)
The Lord is kind and merciful (Psalm 103:1-2, 8, 13, 17-18)
Happy are those who do what the Lord commands (Psalm 112:1-2, 3-4, 5-7, 7-8, 9)
Happy are those who fear the Lord (Psalm 128:1-2, 3, 4-5)
The Lord is compassionate to all his creatures (Psalm 145:8-9, 10, 15, 17-18)
Let all praise the name of the Lord (Psalm 148:1-2, 3-4, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14)
Mailing it isn't necessary because I'm sure I can get one on Thursday from my parish priest... I just need to pick the psalm before then. If you could confirm that the psalms in my comment above are the same ones as in your book that would be really helpful.
