DIY invitations: complete

I created a sort of Save-the-Date + Invitation combo. I'm going to send them out early, and they will include a card with information about the website, which will contain the bulk of the information. Each guest will have a login on the site, and they can use it to get updates (outdoor weddings require flexibility) and maps and RSVP and things ( Read more... )

I've never tried embossing but am thinking for doing it for my future invitations. Was it difficult? Did you use a special heat tool or just a toaster (I read somewhere that you can use a toaster or even a blow dryer).

Embossing is not difficult, no. Depending on how many cards, it can be a little tedious. I used the heat gun and it worked great. I never tried a blow-dryer - it's worth a shot before you go buy a $20 heat-gun. I think the fan on a blow-dryer uses more force than the gun and might blast some of the powder away ( ... )
