Personally, I'd probably go for #2 and try to add color a different way.

Is it possible Mori Lee offers the dress in a different styles/customization options to vendors?

I would call Mori Lee and see if the store is an authorized vendor of their dresses... and would be most likely to go with 2. If I'm going to pay that much for a dress, I want it to be quality and not a knock off.

I agree, option 2 and find another way to add color. Don't pay that much for a knockoff.

Call Mori Lee and name the vendor and also describe the color embroidery. They should know if it is a fake. If it is, I'd order the Mori Lee and see if you can find a seemstress who can add some colored embroidery for you.
