Bridesmaids.com question

Has anyone here ordered bridesmaids' dresses from Bridesmaids.com?  Their prices are much lower than what I've seen for the exact same dresses at salons.  Is there a catch to this?  Does anyone have any experiences with this site, good or bad ( Read more... )

With regards to the colors matching (same dyelot)....there were three bridesmaids in my sister's wedding, all from different parts of the country. We all ordered the same dress at different times, from different places. Colors? Matched perfectly.

I can see how there could be variations in the colors if they're not from the same dyelot...I guess it's up to you if you care if they aren't the 100% exact same shade/tone or not.

Colors CAN vary slightly by dyelot. Part of how much they vary can depend on the fabric, as some fabrics take dye more readily than others. Also, if your salons are not using the same manufacturer then they might not even use quite the same colors to begin with.

I have not used bridesmaids.com, so cannot speak to it. I used Aria and ordered all 3 dresses at the same time so they were the same dyelot, but had them shipped out separately to each bridesmaid. I think they looked fantastic. :D

I've used them! Its the website of a store in NYC. They are fantastic, great customer service and quality. The dresses were $50 cheaper than everywhere else. No catch either - exact same dress as any other shop. If you're in the area you can go in and try on dresses. :)

Oh, and ditto what the girls said about dye lot. I've seen some ordered separately with a lot of variation. I had all my girls order from bridesmaids.com under my name, and it turned out perfectly.

Good luck!!
