AGH! Side inserts? What?

I'm pretty much at my wit's end with all things wedding related. What most seem to love, I'm kind of over. Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited about the actual wedding, I just wish that I could have someone else do everything. There's not enough time for non-wedding related stuff in my life, let alone the wedding stuff.

Hence, I can't think. Our ( Read more... )

Just a thought.. but maybe you could put your phone number / email address on there if there are people coming to the wedding who may not have that information? Or Maybe we look forward to spending our day with you?

Yes! That's a great idea - I originally had thought of doing that, but then completely forgot about it.

I put information on my inserts, plus a reminder to go to our wedding website for more information that I didn't feel like trying to cram into the invite.

Our "website" language was:

"To RSVP online, or to find information about hotels, directions, the venue, the weather, and more, please visit: [site]."

You can see them here.

Well, our insert cards are pretty small. My idea was to only include what I have to include so that people can go get information off of our website/RSVP on the website. Thanks though this gives me a lot to work with!

Do you have any guests who aren't computer literate/internet savvy? I know there is no way my grandparents will be able to go to my wedding website and get hotel information, so I need to include it in the actual invites for people like them. If you have any guests in a similar situation, you may want to take that into account and include the info.

Well, for those guests I'll be including RSVP cards and such. It's a relatively small wedding (around 48 people invited, and they're all couples). About 4 of them are computer illiterate, so it's easy enough to where I can also call them a couple of days after they receive the invitation to make sure they're okay.

I'll be including my phone number and e-mail address, as well as the hotel and the hotel's phone number. Luckily, the only people who are computer illiterate are those who are local!

I asked a similar question awhile ago: http://community.livejournal.com/weddingplans/18616118.html

It's so hard figuring out what to put on those things! Here's what I ended up doing:
