Note/Forewarning: This got pretty long.

Bride
I'm going to make my skirt. I found a super simple tutorial for a "Victorian" skirt. I like the fullness and ruffles.

My FH's grandma (Mimi) has white satin that she brought back from Liberia over 35 years ago. Provided it was properly stored she thinks we can use that to make my skirt. If it's not disgustingly musty and ruined after 35 years of storage (I don't know what kind of condition it was store in) that will be my something OLD :)

I really love this corset and there's a woman who is friends with Mimi who might be able to replicate this for me. If she's not able to I'm probably going to buy this one from the etsy seller who made this one.

I really like Sseko shoes in gold.

I had every intention of using fake flowers but our friend, Zack, told me he had a family friend that would do real flowers for a good price. I want pink calla lilies.

For my Matey of Honor, my little sister and best friend ever - Amber, I'm leaning towards making her a skirt like mine in a different color, possibly black or plum - who knows I have a whole year to decide haha. Then giving her a waist corset and ruffly light colored top. I can't find the etsy I saw of what I'm describing :( I have saved so many links.

Accessories

Sea Turtles, Mate.

I'm likely going to do extensions - just the clip in kind - and I'd love these starfish clips to be in my hair. I'm thinking of a down, pinned back or to the side look. My hair is naturally curly so I'm either just going to wear it natural or get some beachy waves going on.

Groom
This is the outfit my FH, Derek, picked.

That right sleeve is covered by the black fabric. I might have to modify the outfit when it comes to free his arm.

His Best Ninja will wear a white gi and the other attendants - his cousin, brother and Zack will wear black.

I'll have white belts for the black gis and black for the white. I like the contrast.

Venue

I plan on wrapping the metal railings with pink tulle or ribbon and then ivy over that.

Cake
Mimi and I are going to make the cake. Three layers, I'm not sure on flavors. I'd like to have a cake topper made with me, D, and the pups in our NvP outfits on a boat, not a whole boat - maybe half a boat that looks like the other end has crashed into the top of the cake.

For a groom's cake I'm going to do a stack of video game consoles with an XBox 360 at the bottom with a Red Ring (Nerdy fun).

Ring bearers
Our dogs will be simply costumed. They're generally okay with dog clothes so it won't be an issue. We're going to tie our rings up in pouches and tie them onto their collars. The dogs will come out with our attendants.

Foofie is black, she'll be the pirate dog and Rush is tan and is the ninja dog :)

Guestbook
I love GILD Bookbinders. Beautiful leather journals. We intend to use the first pages as a guestbook and the rest of the journal as a family journal for D and I to keep track of our lives together. Something we can look back on when we're old and recall all the times we shared.

Invitations
Message in a Bottle
I'm going to go with plastic bottles because you can put postage directly on the bottle to mail. I found some cute piratey stationary that I'm going to print a cherry blossom pattern on the middle in a light colored ink. Since there's only a a little over a few dozen guests I plan to hand write them with a calligraphy pen.

She's a great artist and a wonderful seller :)

Other Stuff
My dad has agreed to walk me down the aisle dressed like a pirate. If you knew my dad you'd know that's the last thing he wants to do but he's so happy for me that he's actually excited about it. Since I'm going to look more Victorian in my pirate wedding garb I wonder if I should make him look more Captain-y or if I should go ahead with my idea to make him look like the Dread Pirate Roberts :)

The photographer is a good friend of mine who just recently got into photography but I love his work.

Another friend of mine is officiating and we're writing pretty much the whole ceremony ourselves. We're both nonreligious and want our ceremony to remain as such. We are going to have her include the poem "These Are The Hands". I read it out loud to Derek and it caused him to tear up especially when my voice wavered while reading the last line about "these are the hands that even when wrinkled with age will still be reaching for the hands of your beloved". Makes me tear up just thinking about it! haha

Some of you may have already read in comments me say this but our processional will be Cannon in D the metal version. Derek and Zack are going to play me down the aisle with our song, 1234 I Love You by the Plain White T's. And the recessional will likely be Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley. I love that song and it'll be hilarious and fun for most of my guests :) Our first dance will be to Little Piece of Heaven by Avenged Sevenfold. That's one of the only things Derek is adamant about. haha

After the wedding we have a few people who will set up the tables and food while we're taking family pictures. And we're just going to have a standing cocktail reception. A few hours after we leave the reception we intend to have a relaxed dinner with just our families.

Sorry for so much info. I've been planning so much and just now found the time to make a post about it. If all these things I'm planning are fulfilled I'll be thrilled.
