Dress Fitting

Apr 29, 2010 20:47

I had my first dress fitting today. I have to admit I was petrified going into it because I've gained 15 pounds since buying my dress and going back to school full time. But the moment the seamstress zipped it up, it was amazing. It fit perfectly. It's a little snugger than I would like through my midsection, but I'm hoping that's nothing a little ( Read more... )

This is one lovely dress :)
OK, who am I kidding, the dress is lovely & you make it beautiful :)
Good luck with jogging, I've been trying to make myself go for a run for couple of weeks but so far it remained a plan only :)

Thank you so much! I know my family is supposed to say nice things to me, so it's nice to hear it from other sources too :)
I just need to find my way out of the basement of my school's library in two weeks and I should be back to my normal weight once more. *crossesfingers* I lost 40lbs. before I bought my dress, I just need to regain my motivation.

My pleasure :) It's true anyway :)

Well done :) I lost a lot of weight last year, not for the wedding, but I'm happy to reap the benefits of it now :) So it has got a bit difficult recently with me looking good, but not wanting to give up cheese :) So I've put on 6 pounds, lost 2 of them & now digging in my heals to loose the rest.

So happy getting out into the fresh air & hitting that pavement :)

I so know the feeling. I lost most of my weight before school started, but had those last ten just kind of clinging on, and then school started... Grr. I'm doing it for the wedding, but more importantly I'm doing it for myself. I so understand about cheese, I love cheese! I've switched to those little Laughing Cows, they seem to be a happy substitute. Good luck on your weight loss too! :)

Thank you!! It totally hit me today too when I put it on - I'm actually getting married. And in less than three months. I never thought this day would ever get here!

The dress actually looks a little big on you...has it been altered yet? In any case, even if you don't lose 15 lbs, if you're planning on wearing some kind of shaping garment under the dress, it should fit no problem :) It's very pretty!

This, it looks a little big from the back! But in either event, it's beautiful and I'm sure it'll look great the day of, whether you lose weight or not!

Thank you. And the back, well that's just my big butt, lol. The seamstress said we'll do the final nip and tucking of the bodice in June.

Thank you. It hasn't been altered before. This was actually the first time I've tried it on since last Aug. I have a small shaper on, but am hoping to not need it. I'm supposed to go back at the end of June to do the final fitting. I just have a "tummy pooch," which I think distorts the shape of the dress.

Hahaha I tried on this same dress at Alfredo Angelo, and it was close to being my pick! :-D It looks so much better on you though. Lovely!

Haha, Thank you. I love my dress. I think I remember your post about being torn between mine and another.
