first dance question!

My fiancee and I are choreographing our first dance, and we are now like.... 4 rehearsals in. I was first going to change outfits completely for the dance originally, but then toned down the dance so I could just keep my dress on. My only problem is this:

How can I rehearse my first dance with my dress (to make sure I don't trip and FALL) without ( Read more... )

Can you make buy a long skirt or dress similar to your wedding dress? Find a similar dress to practice in.

That was going to be my suggestion. Maybe if you have a petticoat under that dress, find a long skirt and put the petticoat under it so it mirrors the idea of your skirt!

This is my plan.

I have a full length ball-gown style dress that I'm going to use for practicing in as our wedding date gets closer. It won't be exactly the same, but if I put the crinoline underneath it'll give us a feel for how far the skirt will poof out, at least.

maybe just use the crinoline part under it (assuming it is separate)?

This - wearing your crinoline and making sure your dress is properly hemmed / bustled, you should be OK.

Is my dress! As long as you have it properly bustled (don't forget the tails of the bow) - I think mine was a french style, it moves beautifully. Zero problems, and we just rehearsed in a crinoline.

Is good dress. :)

I did my part of the dance routine in the seamstress' house and made sure I don't step on anything. Since my dress is a tiny bit shorter in front, I am not worried about him stepping on it.
