Is anyone walking themselves down the aisle? If so, what made you decide to do this?
Or, is anyone having someone, besides their dad (assuming your father is still alive/well, possibly attending the wedding) walk you down the aisle? Again, what made you choose this option?

Neither of my parents was thrilled with that, but they understood why I made that choice.

FH's dad passed away 2 years ago so I don't really want to focus too much on our parents to avoid making FH too sad, though of course we'll try to find a way to honour his dad too.
Something about the tradition doesn't fit with me - being given away by my dad as if I no longer belong to that family and now belong to FH, which I know it isn't about that much any more, but it still felt off for me.
Soo there were a few reasons. If we decided to go that route I would've probably had both my parents walk me up but we have decided that FH and I will walk down together. Mostly we reached this option because we are both kind of nervous in front of crowds and we think we'll be a nice calming influence on each other.
