Rings from Overstock.com?

I felt this was relevant and would be appropriate for the group, but I understand if it has to be deleted for one reason or another.

At any rate, I just thought I'd ask if anyone here had ever bought jewelry (or better yet, engagement and/or wedding rings) from overstock.com. The FH and I are wanting to get "official" engagement rings but we're ( Read more... )

We got FH's wedding ring from Overstock. It was a $200 tungsten ring in the Jewelery store... we got it for $40 and it's absolutely fabulous. Just make sure you check diamond qualities in the description (if you go that route) and you should be fine. :-)

While I haven't bought a ring from there (for many of the same reasons you have mentioned) I did buy my BMs necklaces from there after a suggestion from someone else here. Sorry, I can't remember who it was though.

This is it: http://www.overstock.com/Jewelry-Watches/Sterling-Silver-Garnet-Journey-Pendant/2541637/product.html

It is a really beautiful necklace, but is much smaller than I thought it would be. It's still a great necklace, I just had a different impression of it, so that may have played into my hesitancy getting a wedding band from them. That really is my only experience with jewelry from Overstock. I don't know if it helps...

I think in general it is difficult to tell what the jewelry will look like in real life. I was looking at wedding bands online for a long time before my husband and I decided on a store to go to and drove up there (a 3 hour drive to Maine).

I'm REALLY glad we made the trip because the rings all looked way smaller than in the pictures. I mean, it makes sense since the pictures are way bigger than anyone's finger actually is, but sometimes it can be hard to size them down in your mind to real life proportions.

I still ended up buying my favorite ring in the store that I'd liked on the website, but if I'd bought it online without seeing it in person first, I would have been pretty disappointed at the size.

I got FH's mangagement ring from Overstock, which was Tungsten and Black Carbonite from Overstock. The quality was good and we originally ordered half a size to big but they let us exchange and it was no big deal.

I've also bought a pearl necklack and earrings from Overstock and they were lovely and good quality. The only thing with Overstock is to make sure you get a working tracking number after the item ships.

Bought wedding rings from overstock. DH's ring had a defect and it was the last of its size so we had to send both back even though my ring was fine. Dealing with the computer program that is their online chat help was kind of annoying but I got the labels and whatnot and sent them back no problem.

If you don't get enough reviews here, you might want to check out our "rings: online" tag, as I know other people have mentioned them before.
