I'm playing with the idea of incorporating peacock feathers into the decorations... not anything major, I still want purple to be my main color, but the flowers will have peacock feathers in them, etc ( Read more... )

If you have a local arboretum or botanical gardens nearby you should check there. I live a stones throw away from my arboretum (that has oodles of peacocks) and I got all of the peacock feathers for my wedding (centerpieces, my bouquet) for less than $15.

That's awesome! I didn't know that!

I'm also planning on incorporating them in my bouquet and in my centerpieces...I'm also going to have to buy some to string onto my escort cards, so I was googling where to buy them yesterday. These are pretty cheap: http://www.ostrich.com/shop/cat?cmd=stdsearch:feather,peacock,eye-nat&

They also have different color dyed ones. My florist is incorporating the peacock feathers on her end...I won't be purchasing those.

Wow, that site does look cheap. That's cool that your florist is taking care of it, I'm really hoping mine will do the same! Save me some legwork. ;)

I would talk to your florist and see how much they would charge to procure feathers vs you providing them and they using it.

This seems like a decent deal - $33 for 100 of them

I'm doing peacock feathers! Ebay seemed a good source. They look fabulous in buttonholes!
