music help

Hi WP'ers! I've been through about 2 years worth of previous posts/tags looking for inspiration, but still no dice.

When it comes to wedding party processional music, what say you? I have an alto singer and no song for her to sing- can't get high enough to sing Ave Maria.

Any ideas? Suggestions? Medications?

music: processional

I was going to suggest Ava Maria only because I walked down to my niece singing it..people actually thought she was a CD until they turned around and saw the person.

wish I had a voice like that....i'd stand in the hallway and sing it myself with a wireless mic. :)

You mention Ave Maria--are you looking specifically for something religious, or simply beautiful? Do you care if it's classical, classic, contemporary, etc?

just simply beautiful...I'm also throwing around Eva Cassidy and Norah Jones.

Does it have to be religious? What about Edelweis? I am walking down the aisle to it, but it could easily work for the wedding party.

As a professional singer myself, you can always get anything you want transposed. Ave Maria a third down would be fine for an alto.
