Braided hair updo?

May 31, 2009 18:54

So I have been searching through posts and can't find a hair inspiration picture I saw several days ago (or maybe a bit more?). It was an updo involving french braids, and the picture was something scanned from a magazine and had some instructions written on the right. Any one know what the heck I'm talking about?

My wedding is in a week (eek!) and ( Read more... )

You are awesome! How embarrassing that I missed the more specific hair styles tag!

Eh, don't worry about it- we have a BUNCH of tags so it's easy to skip over some of them. :-) I just linked you to the other tags in that category in case the entry I linked to wasn't the one you were looking for!

That's it! You're amazing! I wish I had found this for my hair trial so I could see how it works in real life...

Your hair sounds exactly like mine. I eschewed curls completely, and went with intricate braiding instead. Here's some pictures of what I did:

My hair stylist did a Juliet cap made of eight small braids, two large braids, I think four more small braids to loop around the hair sticks, and two loose tendrils to do likewise. My hair was waist-length at the time (cutting it all off post-wedding=best decision I've made in a long time).

UPS is very annoying with deliveries. When I lived in an apartment there was nowhere safe to leave it on the doorstep, so I always had to drive out to the local facility and pick it up afterhours when the trucks came home. If you absolutely have to get them before the end of the week, that might be the easiest option for you.

I wish I could do that! Unfortunately since we had no idea we were getting these deliveries, by the time our friend alerted us, they were already en route back to the shipper (in IL and we live in WA!) which apparently makes them un-re-routable. Otherwise that would be a great option! Well, not so great, the facility is like 40min away, but better than nothing!
