Happy Together was one of our first songs. We wanted a slow song too, so "A Groovy Kind of Love" was technically our first, but we played them back-to-back. "Happy Together" has always been our song, too. It's a fabulous song!

I also love your colours! Welcome to the community :)

Edit: And duh, forget to add, good luck on prop 8! Lots of people are behind you on that one!

Welcome and Congrats!!

Sorry to hear about Prop 8. it may not be with the current generation, but i see things going a lot differently for the new generation. The views are just so different, which is a good thing. Everyone deserves equal rights :)

Yay Californians! XD (Born in Cali, raised in Midwest, still wholly attached to Cali at heart <3)

It saddens me about Proposition 8...I have high hopes that it'll change in the future; apparently Illinois is looking at same-sex marriages too (or will be, anyway), so if that can get passed here, hopefully that'll work into other states as well. Maybe. One can hope. ^^

That said, I love your theme and colors! And the location, too - it's been years since I last visited San Francisco, but I could kill to have a wedding like that out there. It sounds beautiful just envisioning it, I have no doubts that it'll be awesome when made real! XD

The location is a San Francisco landmark, the Cliff House. Two years ago I officiated at a wedding there (in California, anyone can be deputized by the County Clerk to perform a given wedding on a given day, which is nice because it allows you to have a friend or family member solemnize the wedding), and we really fell in love with it. We were familiar with the Cliff House, having eaten in their restaurant a few times previously, but hadn't been to a wedding there until then. The ceremony on the terrace, with the ocean right below, was really inspiring. It ended up stretching our original budget quite a bit, but we're both very happy with the decision to host our special day there.

I have some initial photos, from our first meeting with their events coordinator, on our wedding website here.
