I think she will really appreciate it! I would see it as if you were trying to give her some support while her husband was away. It sounds like a great idea.

I haven't been in this situation myself, but being surrounded by friends and family really helped my sister, whose husband is in the Navy.

Your heart is very much in the right place. I think this would really help her. I'm not a military bride, but I can just empathize with the difficulty she'll go through when he leaves.

YES to appreciating it. However, the missing is a constant, letting her know you care and love her will most definitely cheer her up. There's nothing worse than being lonely and missing your partner, so a "Welcome to Wifedom" party would probably distract her.

Ooooh, do you know how to send stuff to overseas military? Or of a website I could look at for what's acceptable/ how to do so? Like I said, I have NO military experience other than a few acquaintances, and I'd like to do a small little something for my future brother-in-law, too once he's in Saudi Arabia.
