Just food for thought: those are both fairly lengthy songs and the processional goes quickly, so it might be cut off.
Also, I'm not sure if you're talking about these songs as instrumentals or if you want them sung. If you want them sung, it is difficult to work out timing-wise. If the song is only halfway done and everyone has already made their way down the aisle, then you have to wait for the song to finish and it is sort of awkward.

just a solo piano, no vocals. would it sound weird to just play a piece of the song?

Probably not, unless your guests are all very familiar with the song - which is unlikely, I'm sure.

Hmm, maybe it's because I know the song so well, but "Think of Me" always struck me as a bittersweet goodbye song ("Think of me fondly when you say goodbye...remember me, ever so often, promise me you'll try..."). I would think it was a bit odd if I heard it as a wedding processional. I imagine you won't have any lyrics being sung with it, but it's probably one of the more well-known musicals, so I don't know how many other people would be thinking the same thing. Just my two cents.

shrug, if it's sentimental to him and you like it better, go with Think of Me! we're doing a bunch of random 80s/new wave songs on strings during our cocktail hour just because we like 'em... "love will tear us apart" is totally not romantic, but we like it, so it's gonna get played!

I think Think of Me sounds more... sad. I just saw Phantom in Vegas on Monday, even though I was familiar with the play beforehand, but I have always thought that to be more of a sad/longing type song. If it's instrumental it might not be bad, but i think the lyrics are what makes me sad.

I was also considering doing All I Ask of You :)
