Summer Wedding Themes

I'm turning up blanks with summer wedding themes. The beach seems kind of cruel, especially being in Alabama. I was wondering what other brides have come up with for summer dates. Our date is July 26th, 2008. A little late for a patriotic theme.

Is it important to you to have a theme? Because it's not really necessary; I didn't have one. You can design your wedding around your venue, or the kind of food your want to serve, or colors you like, or the level of formality you want, etc.

I pretty much need ideas for decorations and such. If I could have my way it would all be cherry blossoms, dogwoods & wysteria.

Then do cherry blossoms! They're gorgeous and a popular theme! You can find all sorts of favors and invitations and such! :)

I'm doing Cherry Blossoms because they have a personal significance to my FH and me. I'd have that theme no matter when we got married, but our date is August 31.

I guess it could depend on a lot of things. If your wedding is indoors or outdoors, casual or formal.
Maybe you could do a summery theme. Lots of color, flowers, maybe some butterfly and dragonfly accents?

Mine is June 20 and we are not going to be have a theme. We are just doing it summery. Bright colors, daisys, butterflys.

A lot of people do cherry blossom themes in the summer. You could always just go with a color scheme as opposed to a specific theme. What colors are you thinking about having?
