Best man dillema

Dilemma: Chris asked one of his friends to be his best man last year at the engagement party. Only problem is now he doesn't want him to be best man he wants his other mate to do the job. Since he hardly speaks to the other guy anymore. He doesn't know how to say to the first guy "I want someone els to do it". He should have waited till nearer the

I feel like it depends why your fiance doesn't talk to the other guy anymore. If there was some sort of fight that is impossible to reconcile, or the other guy did something to hurt your fiance in some way, I feel like both sides would expect and want your fiance to just say to him that he is going to pick a new best man. If they just have lost touch, I think it is really hard because the current best man may not know that there is anything wrong and doing this could destroy a friendship, depending on the personality of the current best man. Have you considered instead having two best men?

Chris moved to scotland from the midlands 2 years ago and is not as close to some friends as he used to be due to living so far away and the fact the other guy has a family now and noone sees much of him anymore.
