Oh, I have so many! But I think if I had to choose just one, it would be Jesus Etc by Wilco. Maybe. Ask me tomorrow, I'll have a different answer. :P

No, I'm kidding. That's totally my go-to answer for this question. Mostly I have an ever changing list of "favorite songs right now."

Oh God I have like a milllllion favorite songs.

One that really sticks out for me is "Alone" by Heart. Ann Wilson has a voice that can't really be topped by many and she sings it with such conviction.

If I have to narrow it down to one single song, I tend to go with Don McLean - American Pie.

Though as everyone else has said, usually it's more like a list of current favourite songs than one single absolute favourite.
